1. Who we are

planMyFIRE (planmyfire.in) is a free financial education platform providing FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) calculators, articles, and tools built for Indian investors. The site is operated as a personal project and is not a registered business entity.

2. Not financial advice — important

planMyFIRE is not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013, or under any other SEBI regulation. We are not a registered financial planner, portfolio manager, stockbroker, or any other regulated financial intermediary under Indian law.

Nothing on this website — including calculator outputs, blog articles, quiz results, or any other content — constitutes:

• Personalized investment advice
• A recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any specific security or fund
• A solicitation to invest in any product
• A guarantee of any return or outcome

All content is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is intended to help you understand FIRE concepts and explore hypothetical scenarios — not to tell you what to do with your money.

3. Calculator limitations

Our calculators produce estimates based on the assumptions you provide and the default parameters we've chosen (e.g., 3.3% safe withdrawal rate, 6% inflation, 12% equity return). These are reasonable assumptions based on historical Indian market data and widely used in FIRE planning — but they are not forecasts.

• Past returns are not indicative of future performance. The Nifty 50's historical 12% CAGR does not guarantee any future return.
• Inflation may be higher or lower than the 6% default. Your personal inflation rate depends on your spending patterns and location.
• The outputs are estimates, not plans. They do not account for taxes (LTCG, income tax on withdrawals), specific fund charges, state or personal health risks, or changes in financial regulations.
• The safe withdrawal rate is not guaranteed. A 3.3% SWR is a conservative planning guideline, not a promise that your corpus will last any specific number of years.

4. Your responsibility

Any financial decision you make — including investment amounts, retirement timing, asset allocation, or withdrawal strategy — is entirely your own responsibility. We strongly recommend consulting a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser before making significant financial decisions. You can verify an adviser's registration at sebi.gov.in.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, planMyFIRE and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any financial loss arising from reliance on calculator outputs or site content
• Any inaccuracy, error, or omission in the calculations or articles
• Any decision made based on content published on this site
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind

You use this site and its tools entirely at your own risk.

6. No warranty

This site and all its tools are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations will be accurate for your specific situation. We may update or change calculator assumptions at any time without notice.

7. Content accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to ensure blog articles and educational content are accurate at the time of publication. However, financial regulations, tax rules, and market conditions change. Always verify critical information (especially tax rates, NPS rules, EPF rules) against current government sources or a qualified adviser before acting on it.

8. Third-party links

This site may link to third-party websites (SEBI, AMFI, fund platforms, etc.). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those sites. Links do not constitute endorsement.

Some links on this site may be affiliate links. If you click through and make a purchase or sign up, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. We will identify affiliate links clearly. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content or calculator assumptions.

10. Intellectual property

All content on planMyFIRE — including articles, calculators, designs, and code — is the property of the site operators. You may share links and quote brief excerpts with attribution, but may not reproduce full articles or replicate the calculators without permission.

11. User-submitted content

You may submit stories or personal finance journeys via the “Share your story” form. By submitting, you:

• Confirm the information you have provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• Grant planMyFIRE a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, edit for clarity, and display your submission anonymously on this site
• Acknowledge that we may decline to publish any submission at our discretion

Submitted content remains yours. We claim no ownership over your story or the financial information you share. We will not publish your name, employer, or any detail that could identify you without your explicit written consent. You may request removal of a published story at any time by emailing hello@planmyfire.in.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site evolves. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
