Who we are
planMyFIRE (planmyfire.in) is a free FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) planning tool built for Indian investors. We provide calculators, articles, and a readiness quiz — all free, with no account required.
What data we collect
We do not collect any personal information from you. There is no account to create, no form to fill in, and no mailing list. We will never ask for your email address in exchange for a calculator, an article, or anything else on this site.
- Calculator inputs — every number you enter (expenses, corpus, age, salary) is processed entirely inside your own browser. It is never transmitted to us, never written to a server, and disappears when you close the tab.
- Anonymous usage data — we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track individuals. It tells us which pages are visited and from which country. Nothing more.
- Advertising — Google AdSense sets its own cookies, as described in the next section. That is the only cookie activity on this site, and it is Google's, not ours.
What we do with it
- We have no personal data to sell, rent, or share — because we hold none.
- We send no email of any kind. We have no mailing list to send one to.
- Anonymous page-level analytics are used only to see which tools people find useful, so we know what to build next.
Cookies
We do not set any first-party tracking cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless by design.
However, we use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies via the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
Data storage
We operate no database and store no user records. There is nothing to store, because nothing personal is ever sent to us in the first place.
Your rights
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023 gives you the right to know what personal data a site holds about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted.
In our case the answer to the first is simply none, which makes the other two moot. If you believe otherwise, or want to ask us anything about this policy, email hello@planmyfire.in and we will respond within 7 days.
Third-party services
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and provides analytics. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Google AdSense — we use Google AdSense to display advertisements on this site. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
